Following on from my first introductory post here at Health Image, I’d like to get the ball rolling with the first of our healthy lifestyle tips to get you out of that chair and into a health and fitness kick, if you feel up to it of course!

The first thing you need to have before you do anything else is to have the desire to be fitter and healthier. That’s because without the desire to do something, you won’t do it no matter what anyone else says to you. No one else can make you fitter and healthier, only you can do that for yourself.

Sitting on a sofa watching someone else work-out on the TV won’t get you fit.

So you have to do it for yourself. You have to want it. When you have got yourself into that mind-set of wanting to do it for yourself, then you are ready to get started on that road to a healthy lifestyle.

This won’t happen overnight, of course. Getting fit and healthy takes time and patience as well as a good dose of get up and go. That you have to generate from the very depths of yourself. Its there, but you have to find it within yourself. Its a little voice that has probably been stifled for so many years by unhearing ears, but its there and its waiting to tell you that you can do something if you want it enough.

So now I throw the challenge over to you.

Do you want to do this? Do you want to feel better in yourself and feel healthier than you “were”, because another part of motivating yourself is getting the belief into your head that whatever you’re feeling now and however unhealthy you may be right now… in a moment’s time all that will be in the past and you have the whole of your future to look forward to with fresh eyes and a fresh outlook. It starts right now.
