Even if you’re never been on a diet before you’re still bound to have heard of the Cabbage Soup diet. It might interest you to know that nobody has have actually claimed to be the inventor of this diet. As a result there is no single “Cabbage Soup Diet” instead there are many variations.
Each weight loss expert that has promoted the diet has adapted and added to it in some way or another. Which means you won’t just be eating cabbage soup, you’ll also be eating other foods too. Although ultimately there’s nothing exciting about them.
The main trouble with this diet is the sheer amount of hype and false claims about fat burning abilities and such like. It’s even been claimed to help you lose up to 10 lbs in a week.
Ultimately it’s all about starving yourself. The soup will fill your stomach so much that you don’t feel hungry. Because you’re not eating enough calories, you’re body starts to burn off stored fat.
Other versions of the diet suggest that you eat fresh fruit along with vegetables, brown rice, lean meat and skimmed milk. This should help you stay on the diet for longer and will also help you get more nutrients. In terms of drinks, you’re only allowed water or fruit juice with no added sugar. This means that alcohol is a no-no.
Overall, the cabbage soup diet is not a good idea for those who want to lose weight and be healthy too. This kind of diet is just too difficult to adhere to. Plus you’ll find that most of the weight you lose is simply water weight. So when you go back on a normal diet the water weight will just return.
Please never starve yourself when dieting because in the long-run you’ll make yourself ill and put on much more weight. Your body goes into starvation mode which means you’re metabolism will slow down. Sure according to Unique Hoodia reviews Hoodia can help suppress your appetite but starvation is never recommended.

The Chinese have been using a lot of different herbs to achieve specific things in their bodies. Most of their herbal remedies are meant to be used on a regular basis and they will help you improve your overall health, but a lot of them also have other properties that have been discovered thousands of years later. Green tea is one of the best known Chinese herbs. It has been used for weight loss, but only recently the modern scientists have found a myriad of health benefits that range from cancer prevention to improvement in overall immune functions. In this article my main purpose is to focus on using green tea for weight loss, although I will go through some of the other health benefits of it – they normally go hand in hand with the slimming effects.
One of the most common reasons for people to think that green tea works for weight loss is the fact that it contains caffeine. Even though caffeine has been shown to be quite effective in boosting the oxidization of triglycerides in your adipose tissue, this is not the most biggest reason for this magic tea to work. The reason is epigallocatechin 3-gallate, commonly known as EGCG. All teas come from the same plant, but are treated different during the manufacturing process – almost all other teas are fermented, but green tea is dried. The fermentation in other teas results in the absence of EGCG, causing them to have less of the positive effects that green tea has. This compound is also responsible for a number of the green tea health benefits, and is currently under extensive research.
EGCG in green tea directly boosts the oxidization of fat cells, but it also works in a lot of other ways to increase the fat burning in ones body. It is a strong antioxidant, and boosts the immune system. If you are doing regular exercise to boost your weight loss results, your body needs to be able to recover as fast as possible to get the most out of your next workouts. When your immune system is working properly, your recovery rate is increased and you are able to perform better and burn more calories during your workouts.
Even though green tea contains a lot less caffeine than a regular cup of coffee, when combined with EGCG it has a refreshing effect that is superior to coffee. Most people only experience the inability to fall asleep when they drink coffee, but with green tea they feel refreshed and like they have slept better than they did last night. Studies shown that in lab rats, drinking green tea before performing a physical activity improved the results by almost 42%. These results are never directly comparable to humans, but they do give you a good idea on what you can expect. Animals tend to get better results, but we get similar results but only weaker.
All in all, green tea can be quite a potent weight loss agent as long as you remember to use it on a regular basis. The effects of the caffeine will wear down in a few weeks as your body builds up tolerance for it, but EGCG will keep on working. Drinking three to four cups of green tea during the day should be enough to help you get notable acceleration in your weight loss, but also help with your overall health.
